Sometimes I think I’m pushing it with how scary I make Captain Morder. I’ve been reading a lot of Donald Duck comics lately and the accompanying essays always point to how the horror is always more subtle than gruesome or grotesque. But then I think that Carl Barks had Disney to please, and I have nobody breathing over my shoulder (except you!). So, she’s going to stay pretty scary, I hope that’s O.K. by you girls and guys.

Apologies for the staggered update schedule; my daughter’s been sick and my leg’s a pain, so work has been piling up. I’m trying to clear my slate for Christmas so I can get a healthy buffer of Strangebeards for you to read on a regular schedule. I’ve got big plans for the strip in the coming months.
