Today’s pirate film recommendation is so popular I both expect that you’ve already seen it and I expect you’ve seen it multiple times: Pirate of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Marvelous performances, great sword fights, delightful production design. Jack Sparrow and Hector Barbossa are the two best modern pirates and two of my favorites (although, honestly, almost no influence on me at all).
